Class B CDL Testing in Mississippi
On-Site Third-Party Testing Available at MTDS
At Mississippi Truck Driving School, we provide on-site Class B CDL testing through certified third-party examiners. Even though our primary training program focuses on Class A CDL, our instruction is thorough enough to prepare students for both Class A and Class B commercial driving licenses.
Once training is complete, students can opt to test for Test A CDL or Test B CDL on-site.
What Is a Class B CDL?
A Class B Commercial Driver’s License allows you to operate a single vehicle with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 26,001 pounds or more, or a vehicle towing another vehicle not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
With a Class B CDL, you can drive:
-
Straight trucks
-
Buses (school, city, or tour)
-
Dump trucks
-
Delivery trucks
-
Some construction and utility vehicles
It’s a great option for those who want to work locally or regionally without the longer haul routes typically required with a Class A CDL.
Prepare with Confidence
Even if you’re enrolled in our Class A CDL program, you’ll receive the knowledge and skills needed to test for a Class B license. Many of our students choose to test for both licenses to increase their career flexibility and job opportunities.
At MTDS, you benefit from:
